About

The JaME team would like to give you a hearty welcome to the weblog. Please sit down, have a drink, and make yourself comfortable.

We know what you’re thinking – why a weblog? It’s simple: we at JaME wanted something a little more informal and less serious, as well as a way to give you a much more personal, private view of the Japanese music scene. The weblog will be featuring articles from artists, people in the music business, our partners, members of the JaME team, and much more. These articles may show you an unexpected, and not often seen, side of the music industry; one you won’t be able to find on the main JaME sites.

In addition to all of this, we’d love to be able to interact with our visitors more. All posts here will have a comment function and every week we’ll be featuring a new poll.

The weblog will be updated at random times so keep an eye on it; there’s plenty more to come!

Currently, you’re looking at the third version of the weblog. As of August 2009, the weblog is powered by WordPress. The layout is the heavily modified theme Carrington.

The weblog also has two siblings, which are all working independently from each other:

About the Author

Kay is the English version manager, aka editor in chief/executive editor and one of JaME’s vice-presidents. Between her job, second BA studies and random language courses, she’s able to find time to shout at her darling team members and write an article or two once in a while. If that isn’t enough, she runs a JRock company in her home country and occasionally organizes concerts of well-known Japanese rock acts.    Although she got into Japanese music through visual kei, she has now moved onto different sorts of music such as pop, alternative/indie rock and will talk your ears off about anything related to reggae in Japan. More information on this creature can be found at mithredat.com.
