Japan Expo: Day 2

On Friday, the second day of the Japan Expo, there were four more performances.

Day 2:

Lost Color People Concert

Lost color people Lost color people 2

The jazz band showed another side to the event with their more adult, classic music, and it was also very interesting.

machine Concert

They started the concert about 30 minutes late, and the show only lasted 20 minutes…and it was an average performance. machine, the most anticipated group of the festival, was truly a disappointment. The conference and the questions were quite limited, so that didn’t help improve things…

BETTA FLASH Concert

BETTA FLASH 1

BETTA FLASH 2

BETTA FLASH was a very nice surprise with their world music techno, which managed to draw in a crowd not usually accustomed to this kind of music.

Just wanted to say I disagree with your comment about the machine concert. The sound quality was bad, but you could hear (and even see) that they had technical problems. For example at the beginning Hakuei’s mic was almost off. I think you could really see that the band was trying hard but were struggling to perform good with all the technical problems they had.

I also saw one of the BETTA FLASH concerts and the miyavi one. There I also thought the sound wasn’t perfect. I saw miyavi in the Netherlands and it was great, but the sound at JE was just poor. So I have the feeling that the equipment at JE just wasn’t that great (which is logical, since it’s not a concerthall, but an exposition hall).

I’d say, even if the performances at JE weren’t that great, give all of the artists another chance if they ever come to Europe again. I’m sure they will rock at a normal concert venue!

I was dissapointed with sound quality of mic, but nit with machine concert. Kiyoshi was awesome, msuci was awesome, hell, Hakuei’s voice was awesome *when I could actually hear him*, but sound sucked.
