During concerts, band members tend to throw guitar picks into the audience, and of course, drumsticks at the end of the concert. Sometimes, you get lucky and catch one of the items thrown into the audience. Some people are extremely lucky and manage to catch something at every event, but for others, catching a falling star would be easier!
Seeing as it doesn’t happen much, we’re asking everyone who has ever caught something to photograph/scan their picks and drumsticks and post them here! We would also like you to write down which band member it belonged to, the band, the date of the concert and the location of the concert.

I got hit by water once, does that count?
Sadly, I’m one of those people who NEVER CATCH ANYTHING. Even that one time, when Yoshiki’s drumstick nearly took out my eye, I didn’t get to keep it!
I’m also one of those people that never catch anything. The couple of things I do have are only because friends gave them to me, like Hyde’s guitar pick and Takumi’s [Rentrer en Soi] guitar pick. No matter where I am in the crowd, I just can’t seem to get my hands on anything. But it seems as though all of the friends I attend concerts with have caught at least one thing or always catch something.
To be honest, I haven’t caught anything either, the picks I used in the example picture, were all given to me.
Except for the pink Kozi one, he accidentily dropped it on stage instead of throwing it into the audience like intended, and no one noticed but me so I could just grab it XD

- Tsukasa’s drumstick from Despa’s first live in Germany. I didn’t even intend to catch it when he threw it but then i felt something poking my shoulder, turned back and saw it was the stick, floating on people who failed to notice it XD (the crowd was really tight, haha)
- bass pick from Marusa’s Ryuji. I like to think he threw it at me especially, which wouldn’t really be that strange since I was a gaijin in a crowd of japanese people AND pretty much the only person doing their para para and singing their songs XD’
- guitar pick from GramMaria’s Keiji.
I have more stuff which I didn’t really catch at gigs, rather was given by bandmembers and such, but I guess that doesn’t qualify?

I think it’s a good thing being tall at times! I usually wasn’t one that ever catched anything, but I’ve gotten more lucky.

2. Yuana – Kagerou – Last live Berlin 15-12-06 [Noone seemed to be paying attention at all the stuff that was flying into the audience. Catching Yuana's pick is one of the best things!]
3. Toshiya – Dir en grey – Amsterdam 7-11-07 [I don't think I've ever seen him throw his picks very far, so I was lucky to stand right in front of him]

Lately I’ve been catching more waterbottles though. Uruha’s in London and Nao’s just a week ago in Cologne. And I THINK I have catched a pick of a SuG member, but it looks a little too ugly [It's plain orange..]

- Pick from someone from exist†trace, 05-08-20007 @ Scuber Dive in Japan. No clue who it’s from exactly, but she took my guitar pick virginity, haha. And it was pretty funny that she, a girl, threw her pick way better and farther away into the audience than any random male guitarist

I think it counts when you find something after the show!! I mean, heck, many people don’t even try to look after!! ;D!
I haven’t caught anything so far, I have really bad luck. Even though the picks and drumsticks are always raining down reallllly close to me T_T
I’m still hopeful though, I’d love to get some picks that I could turn into earrings/jewelry.
I’ve never catched anything, but my friend Jackie STOLE Plastic Tree’s sigarette box (they left it at the restaurant) and beer glasses O_o in Amsterdam (signing session)

It fell on my chair and as we were all grabbing for it it fell to my feet so I picked it up. My friends all glared at me because out of the 3 concerts we’ve gone to I got something at 2 of them. Yoshiki is probably my favourite musician, so I treasure this greatly. <3
I _almost_ got Shuu from girugamesh’s pick after night 2 of JRR because he handed it out the bus window, but it fell out of my hand and someone else grabbed it from under my foot. >___<

I was lucky with my two~
First was from Miya at Muccs UK live last march, The mic stand was really close to the edge of the stage so my friend grabbed one at the beginning of the gig, and at the end I really wanted one two and he saw me and my friend trying to reach for one [only the very end pick was close enough and my friend had grabbed that one] So he took one off and gave it to me.
The second was from Gazette’s Uk gig. Reita meant to throw his pick up on the balcony but it hit a speaker and I grabbed it at a funny angle.

Also I don’t know how much this counts but I won a competion to meet Megamasso backstage after their 26th December live at Shibuya-AX and they were really nice~ Ryouhei even called me cute

I dont have a scanner buttt, I found Yukke’s Bass pick at MUCC in London last year. we was so close to him, and his mic stand wasnt screwed in properly so it kept swinging towards us and me and some people i knew there stole a few… o:x
I remember seeing Dir en grey in Paris in 2006 and karou’s pick bouncing off my hand (T____T);

Nevertheless I was so happy to get this one little piece, because it was the first concert I’ve ever gone to and Kyo is my most favorite musician<3
Unhappily I didn’t catch anything at other concerts. Many things were thrown close to me, but I couldn’t catch them.

Luckily, Back-On had an autograph session after their concert, so I was able to get the drumstick signed, too. ^^
But otherwise, that’s the only time I’ve ever caught anything from a band…it’s always one of my friends or something, so I was really happy to catch something myself for the first time.

As for the stick, well I don’t know if I can say I picked it up, but after JrI we kind of met with Nao from Kagrra,, but as his manager didn’t allow pictures or things like that, he just gave me and my friend some of his personal items…he really is too nice ^^
